I've put together a few tips for you that I used to help me in the early days of my course and hopefully they will help you along as well.

Same thing goes for local Spanish radio stations. Many of them will run the same local advertisements as their English counterparts so you can quickly recognize the jingles that accompany the ads: listen enough times and you will soon start to recognize and understand the Spanish vocabulary too.

Another good tip I found was to set my mobile phone to the Spanish language. If you are like me, you know what all the buttons do without looking. Set to Spanish, I would follow along to all the words as they came up on my screen and even though I didn't know the word, I knew what it meant.
