Spanish language software is responsible for improving the career prospects of millions of Americans. In today's American job market you need every edge you can get your hands on and having Spanish as a second language on your resume is becoming more and more essential. In some parts of America, it can be the first thing a prospective employee looks for. Of course, being able to speak Spanish will broaden your horizons and improve your social life as well as your working life.
Some people find going back to the classroom a little intimidating and for those people, Spanish language software is the perfect solution for learning Spanish. The other benefit of course, is that you can learn at your own pace going as fast or as slow as you want and in the privacy of your own home. Learn Spanish software such as The Rocket Spanish course will also save you a small fortune in class fees because you only pay a one off fee instead of paying on going tutor fees.
They say that English is the hardest language to learn, so be thankful that it is not English language learning software you are looking for. It is important to understand though that the Spanish language is not learned just by Spanish language software. Learn Spanish software is a great start of course but what will improve you the the most is how you put your Spanish words to use in the practical world. If you never have any reason to use the language, the Spanish that you have learned so far will probably not be remembered very long at all and there is no use having a language in your head that you do not plan on putting to use.
You can purchase Spanish language software from just about any book or cultural store but I recommend you purchase a downloadable course as it is much cheaper than buying a hard copy. The Rocket Spanish course is a good mixture of software and audio tuition that had me speaking fluent Spanish in just 8 weeks. In fact, it has everyone speaking Spanish in 8 weeks or you get your money back with their no quibble guarantee.
I soon discovered there are many benefits to learning Spanish with an online Spanish course when I gave up on my
Spanish night class because I felt self conscious in the classroom and also I wanted to learn Spanish today and the course, at 1 night per week, felt it would take forever. Here are the major benefits I found once I had switched.
1st and most important I think was that I could go just as quick as I liked and if I was in the mood I would do several lessons in one sitting.
2nd I was in the privacy of my own home doing the lessons and not in a classroom full of students where I would worry I might get my pronunciation wrong and have people laugh at me.
3rd the cost. I saved a fortune once I found out how to learn Spanish with an online Spanish course. My night school classes were going to cost me $300 for an 8 week beginners course and the same again for both an intermediate and advanced course that I would require later. An online Spanish course is a one off payment and if its a good one, includes everything to get you to the level of a competent Spanish speaker. The course I did was less than $100 and I was holding conversations with Latin Americans with 8 weeks.
How to learn Spanish online.
There was lots of software that came with the online Spanish course I did that showed you how to learn Spanish correctly. There was software that taught you Spanish grammar and a great program that helped you memorize your Spanish and even think in Spanish. The main part of the course though was the audio recordings. These were great to learn from as they were all in short 20 minute lessons that were quick and easy to remember and you could
download them so you didn't need to be online to learn. Download all the lessons in one go or just download a few at a time, it's up to you.
You will need to discipline yourself to set some time to one side for study. The way I did it was to set myself a minimum of 3 hourly periods devoted to study time. If I had had a bad day at work or was just not feeling up to study then I would simply re-arrange that period for a different time. As long as I got those 3 hourly study periods in I was happy. To be honest, I found I got on with the lessons so well in my online Spanish course that I often did 2 hour sittings in one go and because I was learning so fast, I was always keen to get home and download some new lessons.

If you are considering learning how to speak Spanish, one of the best ways is by learning Spanish online. It makes the whole learning process both fun and easy. I've put together a few tips for you that I used to help me in the early days of my course and hopefully they will help you along as well.
How much you want to learn will depend on your reason for wanting to learn. If you are merely off on vacation to Latin America etc. then perhaps you just want to pick up a few phrases to get you back to your hotel should you find yourself a bit worse for wear after sampling the local Tequila.
Don't forget though that America is now the fourth largest Spanish speaking nation in the world and that Spanish is now the fourth most popular language in the world. In fact, the worlds Spanish speaking population is now out growing the English speaking population for the first time.
As you can see, now really is a great time to go gfor it and learn how to speak Spanish and if you use these tips while learning Spanish online, there is no reason why you won't be holding a conversation with a native Latin American in just a few weeks from now.
One of the best tips I got when I first started learning how to speak Spanish was to bring the language into my day at every possible chance. For instance, I started watching the world news on a cable Spanish TV channel AFTER I had watched it in English. That way, I had a good idea of the content due to the footage being shown so I would try to pick up words from the newsreader.
Same thing goes for local Spanish radio stations. Many of them will run the same local advertisements as their English counterparts so you can quickly recognize the jingles that accompany the ads: listen enough times and you will soon start to recognize and understand the Spanish vocabulary too.
Another good tip I found was to set my mobile phone to the Spanish language. If you are like me, you know what all the buttons do without looking. Set to Spanish, I would follow along to all the words as they came up on my screen and even though I didn't know the word, I knew what it meant. If you are feeling brave, you can do the same thing with your email client too.
Of course, these tips can really only help when used along with Spanish lessons. Learning a second language used to mean going back to the class room, usually in an evening, or spending a fortune on a stack of CD's and books to learn from.
Today though, learning Spanish online is the way to go. It's certainly cheaper than night classes or purchasing a hard copy of a language course.
I chose The Rocket Spanish course when I wanted to learn how to speak Spanish. Mainly because they are so confident in their course that they give a full money back guarantee should you not be happy with your progress any time up to a full 8 weeks.
Not that it was needed though. The audio lessons are broken down into short 20 minute lessons that make them a piece of cake to learn and lots of fun to do. In just 8 weeks you will be holding full blown conversations in Spanish, they guarantee it!
